Studio work we carry out
A look at the kinds of jobs glamforyu takes on: gallery builds, camera positions, treated rooms, lighting plots and workflow reviews for live programmes.
The work behind a steady live broadcast
These scenes show the type of work we do rather than named clients. Each reflects a typical task: wiring a gallery, placing cameras, treating a room or planning light for a news desk.
Gallery wiring and labelling
A control room rack patched to a drawn plan, with every cable labelled at both ends. The aim is that any engineer can trace a fault from the drawing alone.
Multi-camera news desk layout
Camera positions planned around a presenter desk so that each shot is framed cleanly and cameras stay out of each other's view. Marks on the floor keep moves repeatable.
Acoustic panels in an interview room
Absorbing panels placed after room measurement to reduce reflections near the guest chairs. Dialogue becomes easier to follow on air and in the control room.
Lighting plot for an interview set
A rigging plan that gives presenter and guest even, flattering light with controlled shadows. The plot is drawn first and checked on camera before the day.
Intercom and talkback test
Crew on headsets running through every talkback channel before a show. Faults in routing or levels are found while there is still time to fix them.
Running order review session
A producer and consultant going through cueing, handovers and fallback steps line by line. The outcome is a written report listing where a live show could slip.
